Vol.3 p.91 - Elizabeth Conway. Committed by C. C. Bush Judge of Shasta County January 12th 1863. Age not stated, native of the United States. Resides in Shasta County. Occupation housewife, is married. Has resided in this State over ten years. Previous habits regular, cause of insanity family difficulties. Has been affected eight years. Class of insanity, mild. Present symptoms constantly followed by Spirits and phantoms counciling evil deeds, with a disposition to do murder.
Admitted January 29th 1863. Has no property.
The above named Elizabeth Conway brought with her to the Asylum a male child about two years old, which has been placed with M. Hilyard living on the Sonora road about five miles East of Stockton. Elizabeth Conway Died March 13th 1865.
