"Williams - Mary M. Brooks was born in Tompkins county, New York, July 14, 1852, and died at her home near Middleville, Michigan, April 10, 1916. She was united in marriage to James L. Williams in 1869. To this union were born six children, all of whom remain with husband, two brothers, nineteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, to mourn their loss. Sister Williams was converted in Bunker Hill, Indiana, almost thirty-five years ago and joined the Free Methodist church and was a faithful member until her death and will be greatly missed by the church and community in which she lived. She was a devoted wife and a kind and loving mother. Her death was caused by pneumonia with other complications. Funeral services were conducted at teh Bowen's Mills church by the writer. Text, Job 16:22. The remains were laid to rest in the Coman cemetery to await the resurrection of the just. G.W. Kiffer."
