Laura Teresa Barton, Miami, OK, went to be with the Lord November 15, 2015 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center after a short illness.
Laura was born July 8, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Steven and Teresa (Benroed) Beechler. On March 23, 1942, she married Lanson Barton in Clark County, Nevada. After 68 years together, he preceded her in death on October 4, 2010.
At 92 years of age, Laura has witnessed many, many changes in her life and in the world. She was well known for her eagerness to help and to give her love to so many people, always having a kind word to give to friends and loved ones.
She is survived by two sons, Jack Steven Barton and wife Bonnie, and James M. Barton and wife Denise, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who Laura loved very much.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS.
