2009 obituary. BARRINGTON, R.I. -- Primrose M. Anderson, 103, born Sept. 22, 1905, died Thursday, March 26, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late James A. Anderson. Born in Hamilton, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jeanne Mason. Upon graduating from Hamilton High School as valedictorian and Miss Pierce's Secretarial School of Boston, she worked as a private secretary at Harvard Business School. After marriage in 1936 she and her husband moved to Falmouth Foreside where she resided until moving to Barrington, R.I. in 2000. She was a former member of the Portland Country Club and St. Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church, both of Falmouth Foreside. Primrose was an avid golfer and Boston Red Sox fan. She was also an accomplished pianist. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, April 27, 2009, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary The Virgin Episcopal Church, 43 Foreside Rd., Falmouth Foreside. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
