She was born at home, on Wilkes Barre Street. Doctor's made house calls back then.
Aunt Thelma graduated from Easton High School and later worked for the Bell Telephone Company. First in Easton, Pensylvania, as a "Telephone Operator," then in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as "Supervisor Telephone Operators," retiring in 1983.
Aunt Thelma loved all her pets like children. She loved to watch and identify wild birds, was a member of a flower club for many years. When I was going to attend my senior prom, she made my gown. It was beautiful.
She was a wonderful mother to her son Thomas who was her world.
A great Aunt, full of love, giving hugs and kisses everytime she saw us. Thoughout my life she went out of her way to keep in touch with me. Calling and sending cards often, especially after my mom passed away. In the cards she would draw two tea cups with a swirl line representing hot tea. Under the drawling she write, "Tea for you and me." She was like a second mom to me and I will love her forever...
