The graveside funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Curtin Cemetery for Evelyn Cady of Aumsville, formerly of Lane County, who died July 24 of age-related causes. She was 77.
She was born Aug. 21, 1928, in Joplin, Mo., to Lilburn and Marie Roper. She married Fred Cady on Jan. 6, 1947, in Roseburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Cady- Rasmussen of Salem and Pat Thompson of Cottage Grove; two sons, Randy of Alvadore and Raymond of Salem; a sister, Betty Tidwell of Gilroy, Calif.; a brother, Larry Roper of Napa, Idaho; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her husband died previously.
