Mrs Leona E. O'Brate, 72 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock in a city hospital of heart disease. She suffered an attack yesterday morning and was brought to the hospital from her home northwest of Enid.
She is the mother of Jim O'Brate, deputy sheriff under the administration of Mason Hart just closed. She had been in ill health since Christmas day.
Mrs O'Brate was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and came to Oklahoma in 1894 with her husband from their home just south of Coffeyville, Kansas, in Indian Territory. They formerly lived in western Kansas. She and Mr. O'Brate were married near Gilman City, Missouri.
The body is being cared for by Henninger Funeral home.
Although funeral arrangements are not complete, burial will be in Enid cemetery beside her husband who died in 1921.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony of Meno, and Jim of Enid; a daughter, Mrs. C.W. Payne, southwest of Enid; three sisters, Mrs Tina Lewis, Forgan; Mrs Margaret Shrader, Coffeyville, Kansas, and Mrs Bessie Jordan, Los Angeles California; two brothers, J. L. Hendricks of Buffalo, and W.H. Hendricks of Okeene, and 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

RECENT DEATHS
O'BRATE – Funeral services for Mrs. Leona E. O'Brate, 72, were held Tuesday afternoon at the chapel of the Henninger Funeral Home. Rev. R. Frank Marshall officiated, and burial was in Enid cemetery.

Mrs. O'Brate died Saturday afternoon in an Enid hospital. She came to Oklahoma in 1894 from Coffeyville, Kan. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. O'Brate is survived by two sons, Anthony of Meno and Jim of Enid; a daughter, Mrs. C.W. Payne, southwest of Enid; and three sisters, Mrs. Tina Lewis, Forgan; Mrs. Margaret Shrader, Coffeyville, Kan.; and Mrs. Bessie Jordan, Los Angeles, Calif.
