Emily J. Hronek, age 92, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Emily was born on June 30, 1923 in Manitowoc to the late John and Emma Suchan Hronek. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941. Emily had been employed at Color Tile and had also worked in food preparation at Memorial Hospital where she put her love of cooking and baking into feeding patients and their families. Although she never married, Emily spent many years taking care of family. She had cared for both of her parents and fulfilled a grandmotherly role to Zackary, Noah, Alexandra, and Emily Dulski. Emily gave her time and devotion to those she loved and influenced many generations with her giving heart and selflessness. She will be forever missed.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Emily was preceded in death by her parents: John and Emma Hronek; sister: Helen Hronek; and two brothers: John and Leonard Hronek.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Diane Murray officiating. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
