JOHNSON CITY Robert S. Lacey, 95, formerly of Bristol Highway, Johnson City, died after a long illness at Baysmont, Asbury on Jan. 30, 2008.

He was the son of the late Robert S. Lacey, Sr., and Nannie Morrell Lacey of Carter County.

Mr. Lacey was a graduate of Cloudland High School and East Tennessee State University (then State Teachers College). He worked as a Chemist at Bemberg, Elizabethton, for 40 years. He then finished his long career as Chief Chemist at Aerojet, Jonesborough.

During World War II, he taught physics and other science courses at Elizabethton High School and also worked the 3-11 p.m. shift at Bemberg.
