Mr. Autry owned and operated E. B. Autry Construction Services. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Army. He was a life member and Past Master of Durham Masonic Lodge #352, A.F. & A.M., Southgate Chapter #177 O.E.S., Durham York Rite Bodies and a Shriner affiliated with the Sudan Temple.
Surviving are five sons, Wayne Autry, David Autry, Robert Autry and wife, Linda Perry, Hershel Autry and wife, Karen, and Steve Autry and wife, Keli: two daughters, Joyce Duncan and husband, Ted, and Sherrill Cates; one sister; Florence McCachern; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Autry was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Williamson Autry.
