FANNY "ELLENA" DOOLITTLE was my Great Grandmother.....mother of my Grandfather, Glenn Wilmont Field. She was born in Union City on June 1, 1877. She was the daughter of William "Willard" Doolittle 1846-1923 and Maryette Chaffee (1849-1909).
Ellena married Oliver Frederick "Fred" Field on February 20, 1901 in Hatch Hollow by Rev. George McCulloch. Fred Field was born on Sept. 30, 1871 in Union City, Penna. and was the son of William "Wallace" Field (1843-1906) and Jane "Jennie" Bloss (1841-1923).
On Saturday, January 31, 1914, as a result of tragic circumstance, Ellena (Doolittle) Field died at the age of 36 yrs. leaving behind her husband, ( Fred ) and 3 young children, (Lawrence age 11, Pauline age 8, and Glenn age 3.)
