Belva E. Adkins, 86, went home to be with the Lord August 19, 2006. Belva was a tough cookie, sometimes working two or three jobs to support her daughters, until working at B.F. Goodrich Research Center as a lab tech in Brecksville from which she retired. She met Cecil in 1955, married him in 1962 and they recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. Belva was the "everything" of Cecil's life. He has been her loving caregiver for the last 10 years along with their daughter Karen since Belva had a stroke in 1996. Mother…although you were tiny in stature, you were mighty in many other ways. Some called you "feisty", or "spunky", or "a little spitfire" you were all that and more. You are a smart, beautiful, loving woman who loved more than anything JuDee and I, Judith, Beth and Ally. Belva has gone to be with her daughter, JuDee Breth Gohn; grandson, James Warren Gohn; parents, Daniel and Flara Livingston; brother, Darrell; and sister, Pearl Marie, who have all preceded her in going to heaven, as well as her son-in-law, Dr. Charles J. Gohn. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Adkins; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Breth Evans (Larry); granddaughters and their husbands, Judith Gohn Hicks (Bryan), Beth Gohn Duvall (Dean); and great granddaughter, Ally are grieving the loss of their wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. You have left behind to meet you again someday your brothers, Herb (Viv) Livingston of Ocee, FL., Daniel A. (Elma) Livingston of Hartville; sisters, Anna (Kenneth) Davis of Suffield, and Nona (Paul) Orndorff of Springfield Twp.; brother-in-law, Howard (Dot) Adkins; as well as your many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Many thanks to Mark Smith, M.D., Jean Smith, Kay Cochran of Springfield Twp., Paramedics, Essex of Tallmadge, and special caregiver, Lori Hayes.
