He was born January 4, 1982, in Waynesburg, a son of Dale S. Basinger of Jefferson and Penny Murray Webb of Uniontown.
He graduated from Jefferson-Morgan High School, Class of 2000, where he was an avid wrestler.
In 2005, he graduated from California University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Basinger had worked as a coal miner at Emerald Mine in Waynesburg.
He was a lifetime resident of Jefferson, where he was affiliated with Jefferson Baptist Church.
He enjoyed listening to music, playing the guitar and reading.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Melissa Jamison (Dave) of Uniontown; a nephew, Bronx Jamison; an aunt, Rita Falcon (Ron) of Rices Landing; an uncle, Gary Basinger (Lora) of Jefferson; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, November 30, with the Rev. John R. Dorean officiating, followed by interment in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
