Maggie Ella Nolan was the oldest of 10 children born to Ella and John Nolan. She helped her mother with the younger ones as they were born. She continued to be a source of strength to her mother and her siblings after the death of their father in 1944. Maggie was a strong woman and generous with her talent of baking which all of her nieces and nephews enjoyed her lemon meringue pie and other pastries. She babysat for many families and loved children. She made sure any family member (siblings or nieces or nephews) that was away from home had a short newsy letter every week.
Maggie never married, even though she had several suitors. Maggie was a caregiver for her mother,Ella, who died in 1985 and then Maggie continued to live on 4th Street til her death in 1991.
