Walter Larson Services Slated
Uehling - Services for Walter H. Larson, 71, who died Saturday at
Oakland, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at United Church of Christ in
Uehling. Rev. D. J. Bosworth will officiate.
Mr. Larson was born Feb. 10, 1897, in Oakland. He had lived in
Uehling since 1917 and worked for Monnich Sodeling Implement Co.
for over 40 years. He married the former Velva Williams in Fremont
May 16, 1934. She survives. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 91
of Oakland, and a charter member of L. Noble Lund American Legion
Post in Uehling.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Karen)
Claussen, Fremont; Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Naber, Millard; two
brothers, John, Craig; Elmer, Scribner; two sisters, Mrs. Carl
(Lillian) Meyer and Mrs. Blanche Popken, both of Scribner; four
grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 1-9 p.m., at Wollmer & Warne Funeral
Home in Hooper and Wednesday from noon until time of services.
Burial will be in Elim Lutheran Church at Swaburg.

Services Are Held Wednesday For Walter H. Larson
Funeral services for Walter H. Larson of Uehling were held
Wednesday, at the United Church of Christ in Uehling. The Rev. D.
J. Bosworth officiated. Mrs. Marguerite Buck was soloist,
accompanied by Mrs. Harvey Hilbers, organist.
Active pallbearers were Charles Brandenburg, James Clough, Maynard
Engdahl, Frank Khoer, Owen Mitchell and Leonard Witte.
Honorary Pallbearers included Leonard Beard, LeRoy Eastberg, John
Meyer, Clifton Uehling, Wayne Uehling, and Sherman Westlin.
Interment was in Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery under the direction
of Wollmer & Warne Funeral Home.
Military graveside services were conducted by the L. Noble Lund
Legion Post of Uehling, of which Mr. Larson was a charter member.

Mattie Stover Larson. He had been employed as a mechanic my
Monnich & Soderling Implement Co., for over 40 years before he
retired. He was married to Velva Williams, and had resided in
Uehling since 1917.
Mr. Larson passed away at the Oakland Hospital Saturday at the age
of 71 years, seven months and four days.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Larson was a member of the AF & AL
Masonic Lodge No. 91 at Oakland, and a past member of the 40 et 8.
Surviving are his wife, Velva; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Karen)
Claussen of Fremont and Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Naber of Millard; two
brothers, John of Craig, and Elmer of Scribner; two sisters, Mrs.
Carl (Lillian) Meyer and Mrs. Blanche Popken, both of Scribner;
four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
