DEED: 3 May 1821: In the Amherst county deed book #3, William D. Hill pays $150 to Daniel Burford for all interest that his wife Susanna has as a legatee of Judith Lyon. (Of interest, is that Daniel Burford migrated to Caswell Co., NC.) Judith Lyon was an aunt of William D Hill.

Rueben Norvell trustee for debt due Milner Cox, also negroes Frank, Sally and her child Rachel (Sally & Rachel in possession of my mother Elizabeth Edwards); daus Elvira B M Hill and Juliet Amanda Hill two saddles & bridle; all my stock save Bonaparte and Sophia , one red heifer Bonaparte, I give to Edmund J.
