Sandra J. Sutter, age 65, of Pewaukee, passed away Tuesday evening, November 24, 2015 at Angels Grace Hospice, Oconomowoc, after a lengthy and courageous battle with multiple scleroses (MS).Sandy was born July 15, 1950 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Leonard E. and Eleanor C. (nee Vogel) Johanek. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc with the Class of 1968. She continued her education and graduated from Patricia Stevens Career College in Fashion Merchandising and then became employed by Boston Store in Milwaukee as an assistant buyer.On October 24, 1970, she was united in marriage to Charles Gregory Sutter at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. They relocated to the Detroit area and she became employed by Ups 'n Downs in Harpers Woods as an assistant manager. She then became employed by Southland Corporation in Warren as office manager.In 1983, they relocated back to the Milwaukee area and she became employed by LPND in Waukesha as office manager. Expanding her accounting focus, she became employed by Process Displays in New Berlin as full charge bookkeeper. She then enrolled in Waukesha County Technical College. She received her Associate Degree in Accounting in December 1988 as class valedictorian. She became employed by Cooper Industries in Pewaukee as lead accountant.In her spare time she enjoyed sailing and cross country skiing, but excelled with her crafting and decorating skills. Those who received a present from her were always amazed with the special embellishments she created.Survivors include her husband Greg Sutter, Waukesha; one brother and sister-in-law: Jim & Linda Johanek, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Jenifer & Mark McLaughlin, Manitowoc; her mother-in-law: Jean Sutter, Manitowoc; two nieces and one nephew: Kristy Johanek, Manitowoc; Mike Johanek, DePere; Jessica (Justin) Deprey, Manitowoc; and one great nephew: Colin Deprey. Sandy was preceded in death by one sister-in-law Gail Johanek and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles & Lois Sutter.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo Blvd. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Michael Warden with entombment to take place at Calvary Mausoleum later on Wednesday.
