Elizabeth Combs was the daughter of Jeremiah 'Long Jerry' Combs and Nancy Stacy Combs. She married in 1825 in Perry Co. to Massingil Martin Combs, son of Mason Combs and Jenny Jane Richardson. Martin was only 15 when he married and Betts was 13 yrs. old. They had 15 children. Elizabeth died before the 1870 census when Martin was listed as a widower. After Betts died , Martin married a second time to Polly Kelly.
