Charles Cullen Morgan is singing with the Angels now. He passed away on November 30, 2015 at Pine Pointe Hospice. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Noon in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Baxter Hurley and Rev. Teresa Edwards officiating. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1217 Forest Hill Road, Macon GA 31210 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Charles was born on February 17, 1928 in Opelika, AL to the late Gus and Ruby Brantley Morgan. He is preceded in death by his brothers, E.J. Morgan and Palmer Morgan, his sister, Catherine Morgan, and his first wife, Annelle Reed Morgan. Charles grew up in Macon, graduated from Lanier High School. He loved camping and golf. He was the original recycler as he could fix anything and make it work again. Charles enjoyed golf for years and often shot his age and shot 7 hole in ones! He tried his best to stay in the game.
He was a faithful member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. After he married, they were also members of the Grace Bible Class, and Singing Saints senior choir, which he loved being a part of. He loved making music with his guitar.
