Charles was born on February 17, 1928 in Opelika, AL to the late Gus and Ruby Brantley Morgan. He is preceded in death by his brothers, E.J. Morgan and Palmer Morgan, his sister, Catherine Morgan, and his first wife, Annelle Reed Morgan. Charles grew up in Macon, graduated from Lanier High School. He loved camping and golf. He was the original recycler as he could fix anything and make it work again. Charles enjoyed golf for years and often shot his age and shot 7 hole in ones! He tried his best to stay in the game.
He was a faithful member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. After he married, they were also members of the Grace Bible Class, and Singing Saints senior choir, which he loved being a part of. He loved making music with his guitar.
