Don, age 89, passed away at his home in Wamego. He was the son of Carl H. and Anna (Schrader) Johnson. He served in the US Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He married Mavis June Gose on June 30, 1957, in Frankfort, Kansas. Survivors include his sons, Ron, Larry, Leland, and Daryl, his sister, Teresa Meakins, 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Esther Holmgren, and his brothers, Louis and Emil. Burial with military honors was held in Wamego City Cemetery.
