Arthur H. Ansdell Dies At Hutchinson
Funeral Here Today

Arthur H. Ansdell, a resident of Jamestown some forty years ago died at Hutchinson, February 22, where he was taking treatments. Mr. Ansdell will be remembered by many of the older residents as he was engaged with his father in the mercantile business. He left the community in 1902.

Arthur H. Ansdell was born Prairie DeSae, Saux County, Wisconsin, June 18, 1855. He came with his parents to Kansas in 1870 where he resided until 1902, when he moved to Dewey County, Oklahoma. On the fourteenth of February this year, he came to Hutchinson, Kansas, for medical treatment, where he died February 22.

Mr. Ansdell joined the Masonic Lodge in Jamestown in 1883 and in 1906 changed his membership to Tologa, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the I.O.O.F Lodge.

He is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Eda Burris of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Mrs. Carrie McKeeby of Olney Springs, Colorado; and two brothers, William and Henry Ansdell of Jamestown, Kansas.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Jamestown, Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Hall, pastor at the church, was in charge of the services. Interment was made at Jamestown Cemetery. The local Masonic members had charge of the services at the grave.
