Jacob Eversole, an old and respected citizen of Mitchell, died suddenly, Thursday about noon, while on duty at the lime kiln. The weather was very warm and Mr. Eversole was prostrated with the heat from the effects of which he died in a very short while. Funeral was held from the residence Friday at 2 p.m., and burial took place in the Mitchell cemetery.
Mr. Eversole was a good citizen, a good neighbor and a good man. He was regular in his attendance at church and Sunday School, where he will now be greatly missed.
The lime kiln workmen attended the funeral, Mr. Eversole was well liked by all of them and was an old and trusted employee of the Mitchell Lime co.
