MARTIN ZERMUEHLEN

Martin Zermuehlen, 77, of 1216-21st St., Two Rivers, died late Thursday morning at home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers. The Rev. Melvin Henricks will officiate with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers. Mr. Zermuehlen was born March 3, 1898, at Two Rivers, son of the late Fred and Caroline Schmidt Zermuehlen. He married Harriet Buchberger April 12, 1923, in Illinois. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co., retiring in 1963. Mr. Zermuehlen was a Two Rivers councilman for more than 30 years. He was a member of International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and Eagles Club of Two Rivers. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ralph, of Kansas City, Kans., and Donald, of Madison; two step-daughters, Mrs. Sharon Lichterman, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Judy Levanetz, of Green Bay; two brothers, Herman, of Chicago and Alfred, of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Hubert Wentorf, and Mrs. Leo Cuturia, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Douglas Chase, of Kansas City and three grandchildren. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 808 Washington St., Manitowoc.

News of Marriage a Surprise Telegram to friends here today announced the marriage at Waukegan, Ill., of Martin E. Zermuehlen of this city and Miss Harriet M. Buchburger of Suring, Wis. The groom is employed at the plant of the Standard Aluminum company. News of the event came as a complete surprise to relatives and friends of the couple who were unaware of their plans. They will return here to make their home.
