KEYSER - Robert P. Thomas, 56, of Carskadon Lane, Keyser, W.Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident on Route 93 at New Creek, W.Va.
Born on Feb. 1, 1957, at Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of H. Don Thomas of Keyser and the late Laura (Dawson) Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was employed with Dominion Power at the Mount Storm Power Plant with 36 years of service. He was a 1975 graduate of Bruce High School and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Keyser and Local 50 of the I.B.E.W., Richmond, Va.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are one daughter, Valerie Thomas of Keyser; one brother, Donald D. "DDT" Thomas and wife Donna of Keyser; one sister, Patsy D. Garner and husband Harold of Allison Park, Pa.; aunts and uncles, Eloise and Rex Mathena, Ora Thomas, Frances Thomas and Imogene Dawson, all of Keyser; and Kathleen Dawson of Banning, Calif. Also surviving are several cousins.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, from 12 until 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James A. McCune officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
