Todd A. Swoboda, age 53, of Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, December 1, 2015, at his residence.Todd was born on February 25, 1962, in Manitowoc, a son of Nancy L. (Kozlowski) Swoboda and the late James R. Swoboda. He attended Mishicot Grade School, L.B. Clarke Middle School and Lincoln High School. In 1980, Todd enlisted in the United States Navy. He served on the USS Scott (DDG-995) and at the Manitowoc Recruitment Office, was awarded a Good Conduct Award and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon before receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1984 as an E-5. Todd was employed at Shoto Fixtures and Suettinger Sheet Metal prior to opening Swoboda Sculptures, where he created custom metal and multimedia artwork. He was employed for the last 20 years at Formrite Tube Company. Todd enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and had a fun-loving sense of humor that we will all miss.Survivors include his mother: Nancy Swoboda of Manitowoc; three daughters: Jennifer (Marcus) Daum of Germany, Alyssa Bastienelli of Manitowoc, and Kelli Schaal of Sheboygan; and three grandchildren: Austin, Levi and Emily. He is further survived by his brother: Terry M. Swoboda of Manitowoc; his sister: Tammy Deprey of Manitowoc; his nephews: Joel (Tabatha) Deprey of Two Rivers, Justin (Jessica) Deprey of Manitowoc, Ryan Balliew of Manitowoc and Brandon Swoboda of Manitowoc; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.The family will greet relatives and friends at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy 310, Manitowoc, on Thursday, December 10, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. A time of reflection and prayer will be held at the conclusion of the visitation. Military honors will be accorded by Amvets Post #99 of Manitowoc at 11:30 a.m. Todd will be laid to rest next to his father, James Swoboda, in Knollwood Memorial Park.
