Margaret A. "Marge" Shavlik, age 80, longtime resident of Two Rivers, died peacefully Thursday evening, December 3, 2015 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, with family at her side. Marge was born April 12, 1935 in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Volm) Wondrash. She attended a country grade school, and graduated from Denmark High School with the class of 1953. On May 7, 1955, she married Donald W. Shavlik at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark. The Rev. Chester Dionne presided. Marge worked as a certified medical assistant for over 30 years at both the Two Rivers Hospital and the Two Rivers Clinic, retiring in 2005. She was an active member of the Two Rivers Senior Center and it's Quilting group; she was a member of the VFW Auxiliary; and enjoyed sewing and baking. Survivors include her husband, Donald; three sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Laurie Shavlik of Two Rivers, Gary and Lori Shavlik of Two Rivers, Guy and Verna Shavlik of Wauwatosa; three grandchildren: Travis Shavlik, Nicole (Mike) DeRoehn, and Isabelle Shavlik; and one great granddaughter, Madalynn. She is further survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann (Dale) Valentine of Luxemburg, Lou Ann (Steve) Moseler of Two Rivers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob (Jane) Wondrash of Mission Viejo, CA, and Chuck (Mary) Wondrash of Two Rivers; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Jackie Wondrash, El Cajon, CA, Jerry LeClair, Two Rivers, and Ray Shavlik (special friend, Gertie) of Green Bay; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lois LeClair; one brother, Corky Wondrash; two sisters-in-law, Betty Shavlik and Dorothy Sell; her father & mother-in-law: Wenzel and Anastasia Shavlik; and a special friend, Sr. Alexa Rollman.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapel, 1506 18th St. Two Rivers. Rev. William G. O'Brien will officiate at the service, with burial to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers at a later date.
