MINTA HUFF
In much sadness I will try to write an obituary of Sister Minta Huff, who was born February 3, 1900, and deceased from this life June 8, 1966, making her stay here on this earth 66 years, 4 months and 5 days. Early in life she was married to Eli Tackett and to this union was born one child. Her husband Eli preceded her in death. Then later in life she was married to Alex Huff, who also preceded her in death. She joined the Old Carr Church of Regular Baptist June 1940, and was a faithful member until death.
She left to mourn our loss, one daughter, Marie Colwell, Miamisburg, Ohio, one brother, Henry Blair, Orkaney, Ky., two sisters, Nancy Mullins, Scuddy, Ky, and Celia Bach (Back), Jeremiah, Ky., four grandchildren and great host of friends. She told her son-in-law, Adam Colwell, just a few days before her death, there's not anything in her way when she had to die. She has been a" bright and shining light to the world of mankind. Her walks and talk as she journeyed through her life here on earth, has proved to us, that we feel our loss here on earth is Heaven's gain.
Old Carr Church has lost another pillar from her foundation, which will always be missed. Now too, the family of sister Minta that's left behind with sad and broken hearts, let me now humble beg you, if you have not prayed and made peace with God, to now begin and make sister Minta's God your God as I feel she did, and let not the circle be broken in Heaven, for I feel her soul is resting around the throne of God, while the body molds back to the mother dust in the grave, but Jesus says if we will be obedient to him he will come again and call us home on that sweet and blessed resurrection day.
