Norma was one of eleven children born to Fred and Elizabeth Tackitt in Galena, Kansas. She was truly a woman of virtue who loved the Lord and loved her family. She was a woman with a servant's heart who entertained angels unawares, caring for and helping anyone in need. She gave freely of herself, her time, her money, to family and friends. Her greatest gift to all of us was her constant prayers. Her favorite book in the Bible was Psalms, and she found great peace, comfort and wisdom from those scriptures, which she passed on to her family.

She met Billy Dee Singleterry in 1945 and spent 65 years married to the love of her life, raising5 daughters, Julie, Dee, Debbie, Myrna and Nancy. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her Grandbabies, and then later with her precious Great-Grandbabies.

"Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her." Proverbs 31:28
