John Jude Toscano, age 87, passed away on October 14, 2015. He was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa on May 31, 1928 to John and Marie Toscano. He was raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey and attended Our Lady, Star of the Sea School and Holy Spirit High School. He graduated from La Salle University and received his Masters in Distributive Education from Temple University. He loved his profession of teaching English and directing plays at the Neshaminy School spanning 36 years. He ran the weekly Saturday night school dance, known as the "Canteen" at Carl Sandburg Junior High School for 18 years. He implemented the "Canteen Council." He was the Director of Recreation for Middletown Township for 25 years. He is survived by his spouse, Catherine M. (nee Anderson) and their children Susan Phillips (Fred), Thomas (Debra), Jennifer Kelly (Joseph), his granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Bradi, two others by another son, and many nieces and nephews. John Jude was predeceased by his son John Joseph, and his sisters Renea and Marie. His jokes and laughter will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends and relatives called on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Grace Church 225 Bellevue Ave, Penndel, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. Interment followed at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in John's memory be made to the Alzheimer Association, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Phila., PA. 19107
