JOYCE DARLENE COE, 80, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, after an extended illness at The Journey Home.

Darlene was born on August 8, 1935, one-mile south of Chautauqua, KS, on the family farm her great-grandfather homesteaded. She was the only child of J.D. Fuller and Mabel Marie Parker. She went to elementary school at Chautauqua until 1945, when her family moved to Elgin, KS. She completed the eighth grade at Elgin and went to high school at Sedan, KS, graduating in May 1953. In high school she played the clarinet in the band and was a cheerleader her senior year. After completing high school, she came to Bartlesville and attended Bartlesville Business College. Upon completion of business machine training she went to work at Cities Service Company in the Oil & Gas Accounting Department.

On June 10, 1954, Darlene married her high school sweetheart Darrell Eugene11 Coe (Charles Helton10, Almon Badger9, Cornelius8, Cyrus7, Zachariah6, Thomas5, Robert4, Capt. John3, Robert2, Robert1) at the First Baptist Church in Sedan, KS. She continued to work at Cities Service until 1960, when their son, Brady was born. In 1965 the family moved to Detroit, MI, where Darrell was employed with Phillips Chemical Company in the Plastics Division. They returned to Bartlesville in 1970 and she was employed at Terrel Taylor Company, Home Savings & Loan, and 66 Credit Union before going to work for Phillips Petroleum Company. At the time of her retirement in 1986 she was secretary in the executive department.

Darlene participated in many local organizations, she was past member and officer in the Jaycee-Etts, past president of the Exchange-Etts, Trustee and member of the Eagles Auxiliary, Secretary of Jubilee Quilters Guild, Honey Bees Sewing Club, Women of the Moose, Sunset Country Club and Jane Phillips Sorority. Her hobbies were playing golf, reading, playing bridge, sewing and quilting and she loved to dance.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. & Mabel Fuller, son Brady Eugene Coe, one sister-in-law, Louise Crouch, six uncles and four aunts and several cousins.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Darrell of the home, daughter-in-law Kathy Rosa Coe of Stillwater, OK, four grandchildren, Ashlie Coe of Denton, TX, Austin Coe of Stillwater, Christal Rosa of Austin, TX, and Jerame Rosa of Oklahoma City, OK; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Randolph and Collin Randolph of Denton, Texas, one brother-in-law, Charles Donald Coe, several nieces and nephews and cousins: and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Burress, Senior Minister of the East Cross United Methodist Church will officiate, graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Hill Cemetery at the south edge of Chautauqua, KS. Darlene loved to travel in their RV. She had traveled to most of the 50 United States, much of Canada, and Mexico. She and Darrell had gone on several cruises and went to many European, Mediterranean and South Pacific countries. Most of the traveled were with friends, each with their own RV.
