“It appears to be a domestic situation,” Radnor Police Superintendent William Colarulo said.
An 8-year-old was in the main house at the time of the shooting. The couple had two other children, a 15-year-old who is in a boarding school out of state and a 17-year-old daughter.
On Monday, Colarulo said family members were flying in to help care for the children.
Police said they determined Tim Rooney was the perpetrator; he left a note and his last will and testament at the scene after using handgun in the murder, according to Colarulo.
Colarulo said a 911 call was received sometime after 2 p.m Sunday.
“He called a relative to indicate what he [planned],” said Colarulo. “Right now we are just trying to take care of the children.”
