Barbara E. Tomcheck, went to her heavenly home on December 5, 2015. She was 67 years old. Barbara was born in Greenwood, Mississippi to Frank and Nancy Ellis in September of 1948 and raised in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Barbara developed a passion for reading very early on. .She pursued college courses at Ole Miss before beginning a lifelong career. Barbara traveled many miles as a flight attendant, dedicating 25+ years of service to Delta Airlines. She married her beloved husband, Jim, in April, 1977. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of those who knew her. Barbara is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jim Tomcheck; children, Lauren Tomcheck and Guy Tomcheck and his wife, Christen; grandchildren, Hudson, Cash and Vonn Tomcheck; Sister, Beverly Nations and her husband, Donn; Niece, Nancy Nations and other relatives and friends. The family will gather briefly at 12:45pm. Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 9, 2015. A Procession will be led to a graveside service that will be held at 1p.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
