He was the son of John Henry and Marie (Pratt) Klingler. On Mar 11, 1951, he married Donna June Gossard.
Surviving are a son, John Everett (Judy), Lima; a sister-in-law, Pauline Klingler, Bluffton; and three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Deceased are a brother, Arthur Roy; and three sisters: Doris Everett, Hazel M. Auston and Dorothy Bagley.
He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. He was a veteran serving in the Navy from 1946-1950, aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Valley Forge. He also worked at ONU in the janitorial department and McCurdy's Wagon and Steel in Ada, Fruehauf in Delphos and UAP (now Triplett) in Forest. He enjoyed his grandchildren very much. He also was passionate about owning and trading motorcycles, boats and cars.
A Joint Funeral Service with his wife will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Bluffton, with Pastor Brandon Mayden officiating. Burial will in Lafayette Cemetery.
