MABEL D. DUART, 90, of Granville Summit RD 1, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1987 at the Troy Community Hospital. She was born, Aug. 7, 1892 in Granville Township, the daughter of George and Mary Hawthorne Haflett. She was a lifelong member of Windfall United Methodist Church. She was member of Windfall grange and received a 60-year pin. She married John Duart in Towanda on Nov. 16, 1918. He predeceased her on July 12, 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Kendall of Troy; three grandchildren; Wendell P. Kendall of Granville Summit, Alan L. Kendall of Canton and Brenda K. Raplee of Troy; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Earl Wilcox of Canton RD, Tracy Stone of Canton, Dean Duart of Troy; sisters-in-law, Doris Haflett of Troy and Gladys Haflett of Granville Summit. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call at the Vickery Funeral Home, Troy, on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Windfall United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Patton officiating. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Windfall United Methodist Church. –Towanda Daily Review.
