Adlynn E. Cook, age 95, St. Cloud, MN died Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
There will be no funeral service. Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2015 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. A prayer service will be at 3:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Assumption Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN.
Adlynn was born October 7, 1920 in Pelican Rapids, MN to Ener and Anna (Huseby) Engebretson. She married Frederick J. Cook on December 28, 1949 in St. Cloud, MN. Adlynn was a schoolteacher prior to her marriage. She was the St. Cloud Country Club ladies golf champion 3 times in the 1950's, an avid hunter, walleye fisherman and tennis player. In her later years she enjoyed playing bridge with many new friends that she made while living in her apartment in St. Cloud. Adlynn was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Cloud, MN.
Survivors include sons, John (Skip Zarnott) Cook of Bloomington, MN; and Chuck (Judy Roose) Cook of Kalispell, MT; grandson, Clay (Sky) Cook and great granddaughter, Orly Cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frederick on December 13, 1990, seven brothers and two sisters.
