GLADYS E. HAFLETT, 82, of Canton died Saturday, Jan. 14, 1995, at Altoona General Hospital, Altoona, Pa. She was born in Liberty Township, Tioga County, on Jan. 19, 1912, a daughter of Charles G. and Minnie D. Thomas Purenn. She was a member of the Windfall United Methodist Church, the church choir and the United Methodist Women. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank G. Haflett, on March 12, 1963. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Donald and Essie Haflett of Canton RR and Charles "Mert' and Shirley Haflett of Canton RR; a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Charles Scott of Robertsdale, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call at the Morse and Kleese Funeral home, 40 North Center St., Canton, Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 1995, at the Windfall United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jasper Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery. –Canton Independent Sentinel.
