German Royalty. She was German Empress and Queen of Prussia, consort of German Emperor Wilhelm I. She was the daughter of Grand Duke Charles Frederick of Saxe-Weimar and Marie Pavlovna of Russia. She married on 11 June 1829 in the Charlottenburg Castle Chapel and was the mother of Kaiser Friedrich III and Louise, Grand Duchess of Baden. She was an elightened Princess. Tragically she lived to see the death of her beloved son Friedrich only three months after the death of her husband. She also lived long enough to see the accession of her grandson as Kaiser Wilhelm II.
