COLUMBUS – Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Jane Clevenger, 96, formerly of Olde Oxford Lane in Boardman, who died Monday afternoon at Worthington Christian Village in Columbus. Jane was born July 20, 1912 in Marion, a daughter of the late Oscar and Grace Bush Lusch. She graduated from Harding High School in Marion, attended the College of Wooster and graduated from the Grant Hospital School of Nursing. Jane taught home nursing for the Red Cross during WWII. Jane was a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, where she served as deacon, the Friendship Class of the church, served on the board of Protestant Family Services, and a was member and past president of the Research Club. Her husband, Robert M. Clevenger, whom she married April 13, 1935, died Jan. 12, 2003. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Fred Vierow of Worthington; three grandchildren, Elizabeth (John) Dougherty of Frenchtown, N.J., Rick (Linda) Vierow of Westerville, Katherine (Kevin) Logsdon of Hilliard; four great-grandchildren, Robert Dougherty, Christopher Logsdon, Mikaela Dougherty and Zachary Logsdon; and her niece, Mary (Stan) Miller of Ashland. Besides her parents and her husband, Jane was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (George) Bensley. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the memorial fund of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, OH 44512 or to Worthington Christian Village, 165 High Bluffs Blvd., Columbus, OH 43235.
