Mr. Svetlik was born in Easton, a son of the late Daniel and Mary Svetlik. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, woodworking, boating and going on cruises.
He leaves his daughter, Pamela and her husband, George, of Stony Point, N.Y.; two grandsons, John and his wife, Valerie, and Paul and his wife, Chrissy; four great-grandchildren, Emily, Marissa, Benjamin and Nicholas; his niece, Lydia; and his longtime companion, Adele.
Inurnment with military honors will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
