Howard H. Burleigh, 60, Oswego Rd., died early this morning at a Rome hospital after a long illness.
Born October 16, 1887, in Chittenango Station, he was the son of the late Herbert and Caroline Devale Burlington. He married on August 19, 1908, Alice Carman, who survives.
Mr. Burleigh was an electric appliance salesman and had resided in Rome for the past 30 years. He was of the Free Methodist faith.
Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Carl Schneible and Mrs. William Rutz, both of RD 5, three sons, Harold C. Burleigh, RD4, Walter L. Burleigh, Anniston, Ala., and Raymond L. Burleigh, Syracuse, one sister Mrs. Albert Eccelston, two brothers, Stephen, Oneida, and Clarence, Lake Delta, and 16 grandchildren.
