Clyde C. Hicks, age 80, New Castle, passed away Friday at Henry County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born September 9, 1909 in Indiana, a son of Minford and Zura Lee Hicks. Reared in Kentucky, he had lived in New Castle for the past 45 years, retiring in 1975 from New Castle Products, now Modernfold, Inc., after 20 years of employment. He was a member of the California Street Church of God.
Survivors are two daughters, Brenda Black and Doris Blevins; a son, Addis Ray Hicks; a sister, Clara Antles; three brothers, Paul, Silas and Millard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Montie J. Hicks in 1987; two sisters, Maude Denney and Beatrice Atkinson.
Services were held Tuesday with burial in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.
