Obituary published 11 Dec 2015 by Ricker Funeral Homes & Crematory:

Merwin W. Cameron

Born: October 04, 1942
Died: December 10, 2015

Enfield, NH –Merwin Cameron of Enfield slipped away to Heaven on December 10, 2015. Merwin trusted in the Lord and put every effort into fighting his cancer, but God planned his complete healing to occur in Heaven. He was born in October 4, 1942 in Norwalk, CT to Warren & Lizzie (Chamberlin) Cameron. He grew up in South Cambridge, VT and later resided in the White River Jct. area.
In 1981 he accepted Jesus as his Savior and began attending the West Lebanon Baptist Church where he met his future wife, Maxine Wills, whom he married on January 15, 1983. Merwin served as an usher at the church for many years and often assisted with clean-up days. The highlight of his month was a gathering of men at Grace River Church in Claremont, NH on the First Monday of each month. The food, music, and teaching lifted his spirit as nothing else could.
He and Maxine always had dogs who were their "kids". Merwin loved hunting, fishing and operating his model trains. For several years Merwin and Maxine spent much time at the Enfield Dunkin Donuts where the staff loved them and where they made many friends.
Merwin was predeceased by his parents, his brother Theron of WA state, and his sister Carol Thibodeau of Vershire, VT. He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of Enfield, his brother Keith (and Pauline) of Enfield, and sisters Patricia Churchill of White River Junction, VT and Mayleen Cameron of Hyde Park, VT. He also leaves behind several cousins, especially those on the "Freeman Farm" in Cuttingsville, VT where he and Maxine spent many hours and hunted for several years. He also leaves behind his and Maxine's fishing pal, Krystal Stoodley, of Enfield.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Merwin's life during a memorial service at the West Lebanon Baptist Church on Monday December 14, 2015 at 11am with both the Rev. Eric Ramage and Rev. Dean Eggert officiating. Following the service all are invited to continue his celebration during a time of fellowship. Memorial donations can be made to West Lebanon Baptist Church, 114 Seminary Hill, West Lebanon, NH 03784 or a Human Society of your choice.
