Of Springfield, VA departed this life on November 12, 2015. Jason was born December 24, 1983 in Heidelberg, West Germany, the oldest son of Col. (R) Joe and Mary Kay Back. Jason''s two siblings were identical twin brother Christopher (Sarah) and dear sister Hillary. Jason graduated from West Springfield High School in 2002. He graduated from VA Tech in 2006 with honors from the Pamplin College of Business. He was a member of the Corps of Cadets and Sig. Ep. fraternity. Jason was commissioned into the U.S. Marine Corps in May 2006 as a 2nd Lieutenant. He graduated from the USMC Infantry Officer Course in February 2007. Jason served combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines. His last assignment was with Marine Security Battalion, Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia. Jason enjoyed the beach, time with his friends and family, and coaching youth soccer. A service will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. followed by visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road Fairfax, VA. Interment with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jason''s honor to the Semperfifund.org
