Margaret Ella Miller Mohler, age 94 years, died Friday, December 11, 2015 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Margaret was born at Ocean Springs on August 5, 1921, the daughter of Robert Carson Miller (1887-1953) and Lydia Polk Miller (1901-1990).

Margaret graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1940 and served as business manager of the first yearbook published by Ocean Springs High School. Following the unexpected early death of her husband, Margaret reared her two sons in Ocean Springs. She was a faithful, long-time member of Ocean Springs First Baptist Church, teaching in children's Sunday School for many years. Margaret supported her sons' participation in Demolay, sports, and school activities. After her sons married, she cared for her mother for many years until her death in 1990. She was especially proud that she was able to live independently in her Villa Maria retirement apartment until after her ninety-fourth birthday.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Kendall Mohler (1919-1948) who she married in April 1942.

Bruce and Margaret M. Mohler were the parents of two sons born at Biloxi, Mississippi: Bruce K. Mohler Jr. (b. 1943) married Martha Howard and Donald Gerald Mohler (b. 1945) married Margaret A. Barbour Smith (b. 1947).

Mrs. Mohler was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bruce K. Mohler, Sr., her sisters Lillian Renfroe, Eula Nee Twining, and Mary K. Miller, brothers Herbert L. Miller and Robert L. Miller, a sister-in-law, Barbara Miller, and a niece, Ann Margaret Miller.

Surviving her are her sons Bruce K. Mohler (Martha) and Donald G. Mohler(Ann), her brother Bruce Miller, grandchildren Kendall, William, Kimberly, Donnie, Tony, and Stephanie, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also leaves a special longtime friend, Betty Modlin.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Amber Colville, Ocean Springs Hospital and Rehab Center staff, her Home Instead companion, Irma, and the wonderful staff at the Villa Maria apartments, her home for 25 years.

The visitation for family is Thursday morning, December 17, from 9:00-9:30, friends from 9:30-10:30 followed by a 10:30 am chapel service at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home with the Reverend Bobby Storie officiating. Pallbearers will be Kendall Mohler, William Mohler, Tony Smith, Keith Mohler, Bruce Miller Jr., and Donnie Mohler. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
