WOODBURY - Arnold "Andy" A. Anderson, Sr., 76, of Woodbury, died Thursday, June 22, at Watertown Convalarium. He was the husband of Linda A. (Retallick) Anderson.
Mr. Anderson was born September 5, 1929, in Waterbury, son of the late John and Beatrice (Neigh) Anderson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired in 1990 after 25 years as a Woodbury police officer. He was a veteran of both the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department and the Woodbury Volunteer Ambulance Association.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Arnold Anderson, Jr., of Woodbury and John Anderson of Tully, N.Y.; his daughter, Linda Ice of Southbury; his step-son, Stephen Tooth of Waterbury; his step-daughter, Christy Cohen of Niantic; his sister, Irene Stebbins of Danbury; four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at North Congregational Church. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
