Richard, was the son of William Lewis and Clara Cora Rutman Falk. Richard's father died at the young age of 39 during a hunting accident. Following his death, his mother remarried to Frederick R Brauchle.
Richard was drafted into the US Army and arrived Vietnam 22 March 1968, where he assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, USARV. He died as a result of fragmentation wounds to the body from a hostile explosive device.
Survived by his mother, Clara Cora Brauchle of Egypt, Pennsylvania.
