NATCHEZ--Earl L. Johnson, 83, of Vidalia, who died Saturday December 12, 2015 at Adams County Nursing Center, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday December 15, 2015 at Laird Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McCullin officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 12 noon Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born January 9, 1932 in Rayville, LA the son of Joe Charles Johnson and Lettie Ethel Stokes Johnson. He was a retired agent for Illinois Central Railroad. Mr. Johnson served in the U. S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a volunteer at the Stewpot and the Natchez Community Hospital. He was a member First Baptist Church of Vidalia.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sons: Earl Keith Johnson of Macon, GA, Bryan J. Johnson of Natchez, and David Andy Johnson of Vidalia; two grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Johnson and David Bourgeois; two great-grandchildren, Kane and Jordan Bourgeois.

Pallbearers will be, Henry Fitt, Louis Calhoun, Bubba Hutcherson, Glenn Seyfarth, Bobby Mulvihill, and Bryan Johnson.
