John Koch, 63 years old, of 702 Lebanon avenue, died at his home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 after an illness of several years. He was born March 18, 1854, in Lessau-Bayreuth, Germany, and emigrated to Belleville at an early age. He was married to Louisa Haas, of this city, July 1888. His parents were Margaret and George Koch.
Mr. Koch was employed at the Star Brewery. He was a member of the International Brewery Workers Union, the Germania Bund, and the Belleville Turnverein.
Surviving him are his wife, six children: Sophia, Lena, William, John, Katherine and Erwin; two sisters and one brother in Germany, and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Kranz, of Little Rock, Ark.
