On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Pamela Jean Barnes departed this life at St. Mary’s Hospital, Leonardtown, MD, with her loving family by her side. Pamela was born in Leonardtown, MD on February 5, 1959 to the late Leon W. Barnes and Agnes C. Barnes.

Pamela, known to many as “Pam” graduated from Great Mills High School in 1978. She also attended Charles County Community College to study Office Data Entry from 1982-1984. Pam worked her entire life. She worked in the clerical field in the late 80’s. Pam had an extreme level of energy and cleanliness and later became a Janitor. Prior to her illness, she worked at Eastern Maintenance Inc., Patuxent River, MD.

Pam attended Immaculate Heart of Mary and Holy Face Catholic churches. Every Sunday for many years, she attended these churches. She also recently visited Dominion Apostolic, under the leadership of Pastor Michael Barber, where she accepted Christ into her life. Pam was small in stature, but a very strong woman. She was very observant of her surroundings. Pam was outspoken, direct and straightforward. She did not have a problem with saying whatever was on her mind and did not bite her tongue. She was a loving and caring person. Pam was very sociable and friendly. She enjoyed being around her family and friends. Pam loved cooking, watching Pat Collins on Channel 4 News and latest talk shows, going to Bingo and playing her lottery tickets every day.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Lionel Barnes and sister, Deborah Marie Brooks.

Pam leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life and companion of 36 years, William “Ronnie” Morgan; five brothers, William Leon Barnes, Jr., Christopher Eugene Barnes, David Leroy Barnes, Timothy Lee Barnes, Jeffrey Lynn Barnes, Joseph Young and William Miles; three sisters, Brenda Louise Barnes, Leona Darlene Barnes and Faye Alicia Barnes, Mary A. Young and Michelle Chase. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, relatives and friends.

Friends may unite with the family on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am at Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home of Mechanicsville, 38576 Brett Way Mechanicsville, MD 20659. Interment will follow at Charles Memorial Gardens in Leonardtown, MD.
