Woodrow Wilson Collins is the son of Robert Neal Collins and Mattie (Lee) Collins.

He was the husband of Grace Lee (Hashbarger) Collins.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Crestwood Cemetery for Woodrow Wilson Collins, 81, Gadsden, who died Tuesday, April 4, 2000. The Rev. Dennis Johnson will officiate.

Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Collins was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from the City of Gadsden. He was a Christian man and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by wife, Grace Lee Collins; sons, Terry Lee Collins and Larry Wilson Collins; and granddaughter, Tiffiny Epps.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Ray Collins; daughter, Sherri C. (Phillip) Bellew; daughter-in-law, Debbie Collins; grandchildren, Vicky (Vic) Mann, Roswell Ga., Craig Collins, Jeremy (Amanda) Collins, Wesley Epps, Shelly (Brian) Capes, Stacey Wilbourn and Tracy (Chris) Jackson; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Dillion Mann, Taylor and Sean Jackson and Andrew Taylor Capes; special niece, Deborah McMullins; brothers, Davis Collins of Kentucky, R.B. Collins of Fort Payne, Tincle Pounds and Lillian Salisbury.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Attalla Holiness Chapel, 511 Morgan Drive, Attalla, Ala., 35954.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Collins, Wesley Epps, Roger Autwell, Mac Autwell, Robbie Gresson, Phillip Bellew, J.L. Autwell and Donald Autwell.

A special thanks to Dr. Ralph Wesley, Lynn Taylor with Hospice and the Seventh floor nurses at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Collins was a lifelong Alabamian and a special loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. She was founder and co-owner of Professional Answering Service until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mae Hashbarger, sister, Annie Bell Autwell, and son, Terry Collins.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Collins and Jerry Collins, both of Gadsden; daughter, Sherri Fox, Gadsden; sister, Margaret Siddall, Tupelo, Miss.; brothers, Johnny (Carolyn) Hashbarger and Raymond (Betty) Hashbarger, both of Gadsden; grandsons, Jeremy Collins, Wesley Epps and Craig Collins, all of Gadsden; granddaughters, Shelly Vaughn, Gadsden, and Vicky (Vic) Mann, Marietta, GA.,along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and special friend, Emma Clay and Deborah McMullins.

Pallbearers will be Billy Siddall, Charles Siddall, Roger Autwell, Danny Jenkins, Bobby Joe McMullins and Donald Autwell.

Special thanks to Jerry Rogers, Dr. Relland and the sixth floor nurses at Riverview Regional Hospital.

Mr. Collins was a native of Etowah County, was a longtime Baptist, and was employed by Jacks Family Restaurant from 1964 to 1998. Mr. Collins was a devoted father and husband and will be sadly missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Hashbarger Collins; grandmother, Mae Hashbarger, and best friend, Wayne Roberson.
